The king pin can be greased but I recommend only using a white lithium grease # L11354 to avoid attracting dirt/debris that could gum up the jaws of your Demco Autoslide # DM8550024. This hitch has multiple points to grease so I recommend checking out the manual and following their instructions to properly grease the hitch to keep it gliding smoothly. The Demco Recon 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Slider # DM57YV has a sliding function so you would not want to use this in conjunction with the pivoting function of the Curt Turning Point. If you lock out the pin box by inserting the two bolts in the back and transition it back to a standard pin box then you could use the slider function on the # DM57YV.

It's the 5th wheel hitch that is responsible for chucking. A looser fitting jaw to the king pin of the pin box is the number one reason for chucking. There's not much you can do to the pin box, especially if you're wanting to keep the Reese Revolution or a comparable rotating pin box.

Because your trailer has a Turning Point pin box and your Ram has a 6.5' bed I do recommend going with a fixed hitch and using the Turning Point as a rotating pin box to give yourself enough turning clearance. The only solution that you really have that will accommodate the narrow box on your 2009 Ford F-150 is changing out your current pin box for a Sidewinder. A Sidewinder pin box rotates at the turret instead of where the king pin is. This gives you an additional 22 inches of turning clearance and will keep the pin box from possibly hitting the side of your truck bed.

A typical sliding 5th wheel hitch is going to give you 12-14" of travel for extra turning clearance while a rotating pin box like the Reese Sidewinder will move the pivot point of the trailer back 22". Rotating pin boxes give you the best chance of making a 90 degree turn without the nose of the trailer hitting the cab of the truck. The Curt Rota-Flex pin boxes, like part # LC176440 you referenced, aren't compatible with the Curt Q-Series hitches because the pin box hitch plate moves and the Q-Series hitches use a spherical axial bearing which provides a smooth ride quality for standard pin boxes, but will work against the movement of the Rota-Flex pin boxes.
